Become confident in drawing, classical art terminology while gaining expert guidance from a classically trained teaching artist with over two decades of exhibition and instruction experience. *THESE SESSIONS REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING* Required Software: Autodesk Sketchbook Required

Level: Beginner Outside of the Single Private Lesson, Drawing Digital comes in packs of 2, 4 & 8. With the 4 Pack, you’ll complete a series of studies and finish a digital drawing project, gaining a strong understanding of how to draw using a tablet. Building on foundational techniques, you'll deepen your skills with pencil simulation and pressure sensitivity using the Apple Pencil, learning not only how to mimic classic materials like charcoal and smudge sticks, but also how to access and calibrate additional digital tools. We’ll focus on drawing from observation and photo references, progressing from gesture and block-in techniques to constructive drawing using basic forms like spheres, cubes, and cylinders. You’ll explore classical proportion systems and how to apply them digitally using guides and layers in Autodesk Sketchbook. We’ll also cover creating value scales and applying value to forms to build dimension. To complete your project, you’ll learn principles of classical composition, including the Rule of Thirds and the Golden Ratio, and how to use thumbnails and value studies to plan an effective visual layout.
